Under the motto ‘Singen macht Feu(n)de’, the Westerwald Choral Association invites you to a large children’s and youth choir concert. We hope that many children and youth choirs will come to this unique event.

When: Sunday, 14 June 2026
Where: Oberwaldhalle, Waldstr. 5 in 56204 Hillscheid

Depending on the number of participating choirs, we will offer 2 concert blocks. The 1st Block starts at 1:30 p.m. and lasts a maximum of 90 minutes, the 2. Block starts at 15:30 and will also last a maximum of 90 minutes.

We would like to design the concert so that the respective choirs of the individual blocks are directly in the hall, from there they can also perform and listen to each other.

The concert offers a great opportunity to present your own choir. We want to show to the outside world that our association covers a wide range of child and youth work and promotes it to the best of our ability.

Therefore, representatives of the public media, politics and associations are invited to this concert. We hope and look forward to the participation of as many children's and youth choirs as possible in our district and neighbouring regions.

The concert is thankfully organized by the Hillscheid Children's and Youth Choir, who can also come up with some ideas for childcare and entertainment.

the Children's and Youth Choirs in the Westerwald and the surrounding area,

As already announced, we are once again offering a project of ‘Westerwälder Spatzen’. We invite all children from 2nd grade onwards.

The project will be led by Wayne Reid this time. Wayne has been leading two children's and youth choirs in the Westerwald since this year and has immediately agreed to join the Westerwald Spatzen.

Process of the project:
Rehearsal weekend in Hirtscheid on Saturday and Sunday, 30. – 31 May 2026

Performance at the Children's and Youth Choir Concert in Hillscheid on 14 June 2026 in the Oberwaldhalle

Anyone wishing to participate must complete the attached binding application form. You transfer the cost contribution of € 20.00 to the following account, stating the name and purpose of WW-Spatzen. Family lump sum fee: Families with 2 children 30,00 €, families with 3 and more children 40,00 €:

The projects of the Westerwälder Spatzen are always unique projects. All children and young people register only for the project described here. Of course, everyone should be there at the rehearsal and performance dates indicated above. In addition, there are no obligations. The project ends with the performance at the Children's and Youth Choir Concert on 14.06.2026 in Hillscheid. There will be no further rehearsals. You should rehearse regularly in your children's and youth choirs and be there. The Westerwälder Spatzen are only an additional offer.

From this year it is possible to register the entire children's choir for the Westerwälder Spatzen.

If a choir wishes to do so, we will make a separate agreement regarding registration, participant fees and minimum age, which will be in favour of the participating choir. Just get in touch with us and we'll sort it out.
