202504 - Chorgruppe Mitte - Feedbacksingen in Ruppach-Goldhausen
Feedbacksing by the Chorgruppe Mitte on 06.04.2025 in Ruppach-Goldhausen
The Chorgruppe Mitte conducts group workshops and feedback singing on an annual basis. After the 2024 group workshop, feedback singing was invited to the Catholic parish church of Ruppach-Goldhausen in 2025.
As a juror, Mr. Christoph Haßler won as a juror.
He is full-time Head of Music at the State Study Seminar in Kaiserslautern.
He began his musical career as a child in the Southwest Palatinate Children's Choir Münchweiler an der Rodalb, then still under the direction of his father Bernhard Haßler. Through him he got to know the handling of the child's voice. In the meantime, he has completely taken over the children's choir.
In 1994 he founded a small female choir ensemble – ex-semble. Relatively quickly, the small ensemble developed into a first-class women's chamber choir.
With his two choirs, Christoph Haßler won several first prizes, awards and, on several occasions, the title ‘internationally outstanding’. At national and international choral festivals and competitions, he is a welcome guest with his choirs. Under his direction, various CDs were produced with both choirs and participated in many radio and television productions.
Christoph Haßler received several conductor awards and scholarships and was awarded the title ‘Chordirektor ADC’ for his outstanding artistic achievements and choral work. In 2021, Christoph Haßler took over the Pirmasens Oratorial Choir as musical director.
He is regularly invited to music academies, festivals and choral competitions as a lecturer, juror, workshop leader and guest conductor. Concerts led Christoph Haßler to numerous well-known European music centers, to Israel, South and North America.
The following choirs of the choir group Mitte followed the invitation to the feedback singing: Choreanders Ruppach-Goldhausen, MGV Frohsinn Staudt, CHORamel Niedererbach, Chorgemeinschaft Cäcilia – St. Katharina Niedererbach, Männerchor Liederkranz Berrod, Mixed Choir Cäcilia Dreikirchen, MGV Merry Hour Weroth and MGV Liederkranz Obererbach.
The event started at 10:30 a.m. in the church in Ruppach-Goldhausen. Karla Ternes on behalf of the board of the choir group Mitte and Andrea Wagenbach for the organizationally responsible choir GV Cäcilia Ruppach-Goldhausen welcomed the participating choirs and listeners.
In the first group they brought Chorianders Ruppach-Goldhausen (Mario Siry) with ‘Deo Gratias’ and ‘Feuerzeug’, the MGV Frohsinn Staudt (Fabian Glück) ‘Feuerzeug’, ‘Mambo’ and ‘Bis zum letzte Lied’, CHORamel Niedererbach (Sacha Trumm) ‘Horch was kommt von Außen rein’, ‘Somewhere in the world’ and ‘Poker Face’, the choir community Cäcilia – St. Katharina Niedererbach (Wolfgang Tüncher) ‘Hallelujah’ and ‘Tebje Pojem’ and the Merry Hour Weroth (Werner Blatt) ‘Periti autem’ and ‘Kyrie’.
The singers of the singing association Cäcilia Ruppach-Goldhausen together with the team of the Frenzer Grill in and around the parish house had taken care of the physical well-being, even during a one-hour lunch break.
With the second group of the day, the feedback singing continued after the lunch break. The men’s choir Berrod (Maria Siry) now presented ‘O sacrum convivium’ and ‘Lux aurumque’, the mixed choir Cäcilia Dreikirchen (Wolfgang Tüncher) ‘Grand us pease’ and ‘Ride the chariot’, and the MGV Liederkranz Obererbach (Emanuel Hecker) ‘In Paradisum’, ‘Non Nobis, Domine’ and ‘Ubi Caritas’.
After the lecture of each choir, Christoph Haßler conveyed his impressions and gave valuable support for the choral work and showed intricacies for improving the respective song presentations. He certified a high standard of performance for all choirs and encouraged them to continue along the chosen path. All singers and choral conductors benefited from the performances, which presented his tips on interpretation, emphasis, phrasing, pronunciation and much more in a relaxed and sympathetic manner.
At the end of the feedback singing, the juror was impressed by the quality of all the choral lectures and thanked him for a beautiful musical day that gave him a lot of joy. Following the event, he explained that the feedback was designed as a positive reinforcement, less than ‘criticism’ (what can/should the choir continue to work on, what can it optimise). All choirs were well prepared and very concentrated in their choral works, mostly a-cappella. He was also enthusiastic about the organization of the event.
After Karla Ternes' words of thanks to Christoph Haßler and the Sangesfreunde from Ruppach-Goldhausen, choirs and listeners still had the opportunity to round off the beautiful musical day in the parish centre in a relaxed atmosphere.
