Night of the Choirs 2026 in Hachenburg

Choirs from the district choir associations Altenkirchen, Rhein-Lahn and Westerwald as guests in Hachenburg …

    8.  Night of the Choirs

Saturday, August 1, 2026, 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Alte Markt in Hachenburg. The Catholic Church, which was involved in the choral event in the past, is unfortunately not available this year due to construction work.

Modern, contemplative, traditional, rock - with the 8th Chornacht in Hachenburg links Region I of the Chorverband Rheinland-Pfalz to the popular and successful tradition of offering music in an open event. Anyone can come and listen at any time, standing, sitting, having a coffee or an ice cream in their hand.

Musical enjoyment, no matter how long

As in previous years, the stage on the ‘Alte Markt’ will be technically equipped in such a way that performances with accompanying instruments and microphone-assisted solo singing are also possible. The participating choirs from the district associations Altenkirchen, Rhein-Lahn and Westerwald will show with a varied repertoire how impressive, varied and attractive choral music can be. The entire range of choral music in the region is presented and entertainment is offered with a varied repertoire with choral literature of traditional and modern style.

The "Night of Choirs" was very well received by the audience in Hachenburg in the seven previous events and many listeners were welcomed. The program sequence is designed in such a way that visitors can join at any time. "Musical enjoyment - no matter how long" is the motto of the "Night of Choirs" and guests who are not part of regular choir concert visits should also be addressed, enthusiastic and won over for choral singing. Thus, an open singing is also involved, in which singing is sung together with the singing-happy visitors. Admission to the choir is free.

Organiser: Region 1 in the Chorverband Rheinland-Pfalz e.V. in cooperation with the Hachenburger KulturZeit | www.cv-rlp.de.
