Choral Conductor Training in Region 1

Part 1: Introductory course
· Basics of music theory
· Basics of Singing
· Basics of hearing
· Introduction to singing after notes
The introductory course is aimed at committed singers who want to learn more about their hobby. Theoretical requirements do not have to be met by the participants. These are developed in the course. The only requirement is that the participants like to sing. Please bring something to write for the first session, especially music paper (preferably music booklet) and a pencil.
Course fee: 20,00€ (introductory course only)
Part 2: Basic course (Vice-Chairmaster course):
· Techniques of sound indication
· Basics of conducting
· Ear training
This course is the extension of the introductory course. Here, the participants learn how to specify and conduct simple choral works without accidents. Practice is in the foreground. Participants attend introductory and basic courses.
I ask that everyone get a sound recorder in advance. It does not matter whether it is a tuning fork, a tuning pipe, a mobile phone or a small instrument (recorder). You should handle the handling well.
Minimum number of participants: 10 persons
Course fee: 50,00€ (introductory and basic course)
Completion: Certificate of participation of Region 1, which entitles to participate in the C2 (Certified Vice-Chairman) of the choirmaster training in the CV RLP.

Online courses for board members/volunteers
Selected online training courses of the Rhineland-Palatinate Sports Federation are available to the choir associations of the Rhineland-Palatinate Choral Association and their board members and volunteers.
The choir association Rhineland-Palatinate bears the costs for the participants from its choir clubs.
The Kreisvolkshochschule Westerwald offers the training of the ‘association licence’.
Associations are an important part of our culture and society and are an integral part of our everyday life. But the club life is accompanied by many duties and tasks.
In order to continue to offer a wider range of clubs in our circle in the future, the renowned association consultant Karl Bosch explains the various tasks, challenges and obligations in the club system.
The club driver's license comprises six modules. The first is carried out as a full-day event in presence in Montabaur. The last module will also take place as a full-day event in presence in Wirges. Modules two to four take place online in the evening from 6.30 p.m. to 8 p.m. via the Zoom conference module. A maximum of 30 people can attend the face-to-face sessions. At the end of the course, participants will receive a certificate of attendance via the modules they have taken. If you are only interested in topics of individual modules, you can register for the individual online events, here a maximum of 50 seats are available.
